Dollie Davis, Ph.D., serves as Chief Academic Officer at Minerva University, overseeing academic strategy, curriculum development, and global leadership across Minerva’s rotation cities. In addition to directing institutional data and instructional technology frameworks, Prof. Davis leads student life and student service operations, ensuring a cohesive and supportive experience throughout the student lifecycle. She also spearheads key cross-functional initiatives and governance committees to continually advance Minerva’s active learning model.
Davis maintains an active research agenda spanning innovative pedagogy, generative AI in higher education, and development economics, frequently presenting her work globally. Her recent scholarship includes contributions to a special edition of International Politics exploring the integration of a Culture-Centered Approach in government health communication, alongside analyses of Adam Smith's perspectives on historical institutions and modern higher education policy. She has also shared insights as an expert commentator in national media outlets like The Conversation, The LA Times, and WalletHub, addressing topics ranging from global banking crises to urban inflation trends.
An advocate for pedagogical evolution, Davis regularly leads workshops and delivers keynotes on active learning and AI integration for institutions such as RMIT University, the University of Sussex, and the Greater Cincinnati Collegiate Connection. Her expertise on global citizenship and collaborative technologies has been featured in LearningWell and at international forums, including Plurality Seoul.
Prior to her current role, she taught economics and finance at Minerva University, served as an International Visiting Fellow at a think tank in Taipei, Taiwan, and taught in the School of International Relations at the University of Southern California (USC). She earned her PhD in Political Economy from USC.
